Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
SkoraPrep helps students practice for the SAT and ACT. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us — we'll answer.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile identifier those services return. We never receive your password from them.
- Practice data: questions you answer, whether they were correct, time spent, topics, streaks, XP and estimated scores.
- Technical data: browser type, device type, approximate region and how you arrived at the site, used to keep the service running and to fix problems.
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
How your performance data is protected
We store information about your scores and performance in a way that minimizes the risk of any leak. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted by row-level database rules so one account can never read another's records, and answer keys are graded on our servers rather than exposed to the browser.
How we use it
We use your data to operate the service, personalize your adaptive practice, and show you your own progress. Beyond your personal dashboard, we use data only in anonymized and aggregated form — with names and identifiers removed — for the sole purposes of operating, improving and offering our services (for example, spotting confusing questions or tuning difficulty).
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your information to anyone.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local browser storage for essential purposes only: keeping you signed in, remembering your exam choice and theme preference, and understanding aggregate usage so we can improve the product. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but the service may not work correctly without the essential ones.
Sharing, transferring and disclosing information
We do not share your personal information with third-party contractors for their own purposes, and we never sell it. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery and payment processing) strictly to run SkoraPrep on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose information only when required by law, or when reasonably necessary for security, public safety, or legal processes, or to prevent fraud and protect the rights, property and safety of our users or of SkoraPrep.
Data retention and your choices
You can update your account, change your password, export nothing you didn't create, cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your personal information and practice history; anonymized aggregate statistics that can no longer identify you may remain. You may also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
A service that keeps changing
SkoraPrep is under continuous development. We regularly add questions, adjust the adaptive engine and ship new features to improve the experience for students. Because of this, this policy may change over time. When it does, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and we'll notify you of material changes. Continuing to use SkoraPrep after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Children's privacy
SkoraPrep is not intended for and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or any higher age threshold required by applicable law in your jurisdiction) without first obtaining verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. Parents or legal guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information without their consent can contact us to request the deletion of that information.
